Neil's new Note - New Year 2011

Hello all,

My new novel Premier Leech is out now across Asia.

It wasn't intended for release until Easter 2011 (same as the UK), but some very nice people, some very real heroes of mine, said some very nice things about it. So the publisher got a little excited and has got the book out in time for Christmas to fill stockings everywhere.

It's always an entertaining thought to know that I might be used to fill a lady's stocking. Premier Leech is a tad controversial, being a tall tale of the sex, sleaze, greed and corruption within the English Premier League.

There are footballers sleeping with each other's wives. Managers working as agents and foreign owners trying to take over clubs so they can sleep with Cockney blonde hookers. Obviously, it's fiction. Obviously.

But, as the poster says, men (and women in some cases) don't want socks for Christmas. They want sexy women and football. And the likes of Nick Frost, Ken Loach, Jimmy McGovern, Wayne Wang, Fandi Ahmad, Tony Cottee, Tony Jordan, Simon Hill, Jason Dasey and writers at FourFourTwo, the Guardian, the Age, West Ham magazines and fanzines and across Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and the UK have been kind enough to agree.

I couldn't be more chuffed and humbled right now.

So do have a nose at the video here -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keWaKa2kCe8 -- to get more of an idea of what Premier Leech is about. Details are also on My Twitter and Facebook pages so I hope to be in your stocking for Christmas. See you at a bookstore near you in 2011.

Cheers

Neil
